Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Education, has enhanced its training partnerships via the development participation of the male and female teachers of the Ministry of Education in a number of educational training programs, in collaboration with the National Center for Professional Education Development.

The training program will be implemented this year with the participation of 20 colleges of education, representing the different Saudi universities and the most significant teacher preparation institutions in the Saudi universities. This initiative is the first of its kind in the Saudi Kingdom achieving integration between the colleges of education, on the one hand, and public education, on the other.

It is worth mentioning that the UQU training programs are well-known for their qualitative excellence and their practical and effective nature. Their subjects present the modern trends to the teachers, building their scientific and training skills in communication, cooperation, and effective participation, teaching them how to apply STEM methodology in the education environment, training them on creative thinking strategies and competency based assessment, and providing those who occupy educational positions with field training and high professional skills for them to achieve quality in their scientific and practical performance.

It is noteworthy that the College of Education has organized four summer training programs for male and female teachers in collaboration with the National Center for Professional Education Development, in the following themes: constructive education, education outputs to enhance the educational process, skills to deal with different types of adult learners, and the evidence-based practices when teaching students with disabilities.
