UQUs Security Chief Discusses Cooperation with Makkah Traffic Dept.

Head of the Security Department at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Nabil bin Mohamed Madid has met with Lt. Gen. Bassem Amin Al-Badri, director of Makkah Traffic and a number of officials to discuss traffic on the main road leading to Al-Abdiyah Campus (Ta'if-Makkah).

Al-Badri received Madid at his office in Nasim neighborhood and wished success for efforts exerted to solve traffic jams on UQU's main road. He said a field team would be formed to monitor traffic in rush hours.

In the same context, Madid said the meeting was held under directives of President Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas in order to find out ways out of rush hour traffic congestions blocking main road to the main campus.

A number of solutions were on the table for discussion, he said, adding solutions included tickets for parking violation inside the campus.

The university endeavors to apply an up-to-date integrated security system in cooperation with departments in concern to maintain safety and security levels inside and outside UQU's campuses, Madid added, saying this is acheivable through awareness programs that would be available to educate students and to develop interaction with the public.

He praised support and help provided by Dr. Assas and Vice-President Dr. Yasser bin Sulleiman Shosho. He expended thanks to the Security Department's Employees, hailing their sense of loyalty to the university.
