Umm Al-Qura University participated in the coordination meeting of the vice deans for educational affairs in Makkah Al Mukarramah Universities and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) that was held on Tuesday at King Abdulaziz University.
Umm Al-Qura University was represented in the meeting by its Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Suruji, and a number of officials and vice deans. Eight quality initiatives were presented. Umm Al-Qura University welcomed cooperation with the universities of the region to transfer its expertise in the leading systems that were established in coordination with the ministries and relevant authorities.
The President of King Abdul-Aziz University, Prof. Abdul-Rahman bin Al-Youbi, stressed the importance of achieving integration among the universities to achieve Saudi Vision 2030. This integration process should bring together the distinctive features of excellence that each university has. Dr. Suruji emphasized the importance of transferring integration between universities in terms of international and local program accreditation.
The delegation of Umm Al-Qura University included the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghamdi, the Vice Dean for Registration Affairs, Dr. Tahani Al-Subait, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Talal Muthanna, and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Services, Dr. Loloah Al-Harthi.
The meeting concluded with a number of valuable recommendations to establish a framework for governance.
