His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, issued an administrative decision to form a Higher Advisory Committee for the Shari`ah-related and other regular disciplines at UQU. The Committee will be headed by His Excellency Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Humaid, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Advisor at the Royal Court, and its members will include the following:
- His Royal Highness Prince Abdul-Aziz bin Sattam bin Abdul-Aziz, the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
- His Excellency Prof. Ahmad bin Ali bin Sair Al-Mubaraki, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Standing Committee for Scholarly Research and Fatwas.
- His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University.
- His Eminence Prof. Abid bin Muhammad bin Awaid Al-Sufayani, a former member of the Shura Council.
- His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Latif bin Muhammad bin Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, the Advisor of the Saudi Arabia's Attorney General.
- His Eminence Prof. Saud bin Ibrahim Al-Shuraim, the Dean of the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations.
- His Eminence Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Risaini, the Dean of the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil.
- His Eminence Dr. Faisal bin Jameel bin Hassan Ghazzawi, the Dean of the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion.
- His Eminence Dr. Ra'id bin Khalaf Al-Usaimi, the Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies.
- His Eminence Dr. Hassan Bukhari, the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers.
- His Eminence Dr. Khalid Al-Ma`jil Al-Sibai`i.
- His Eminence Prof. Ghazi bin Murshid bin Kalaf Al-Utaibi.
This decision comes as a result of the desire to supervise the development project of the Shari`ah-related and regular studies and disciplines at the university, and to carry on with the development of the academic and administrative organization in the university to achieve overall quality in UQU and continue the lauded efforts towards the realization of the ambitious objectives and plans of UQU that are in harmony with the Saudi Vision 2030.
Lastly, His Excellency asked Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) to help them and grant them success.
