Proceeding from the eagerness of the College of Nursing at UQU to offer distinct health and awareness services, and actively participate in serving the society through raising the health awareness of the people; especially schools female students whom will be the mothers of the future, some of the college’s top students paid a visit to “Secondary School 12 for Girls” in Kaakeya to raise the health awareness and education of the students. The visit was paid under the supervision of the faculty members of the Department of Community Health Nursing and Mass Healthcare.
During the visit, on Wednesday, Safar 2, 1438H, the college students, faculty members and administrators gave a presentation for the school students on healty diet, and the ways to avoid overweight and obesity. As part of the event, students organized an awareness corner about health diet, and metabolism-stimulating beverages. The underlying objective of the event is to educate students and teachers about obesity, and introduce them with the causes and environmental triggers that lead up to such a problem, as well as the ways to avoid and treat it, given the fact that it affects almost all age groups.
