On Friday evening, Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, witnessed the graduation ceremony of more than 10,000 female students from different specializations and academic degrees for the academic year 1439-1440 A.H. The ceremony took place at King Faisal Hall at Al-Abdiyyah Branch.
Graduates from batch 67 represented graduates from the main headquarters in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the university branches in Jamoum, Al-Qunfudhah, Al-Leith, and Adham. There were 607 graduates receiving their PhD, Masters, and higher diploma. Numbers of female graduates at bachelor, undergraduates, and the Institute of Arabic language for Non-Native Speakers are about 9608 students.
The Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, expressed her thanks to the Custodian of the Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their continuous support for the development of Umm Al-Qura's educational, administrative, and research systems in light of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, praised the continuous support of his Excellency Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Education, and the care of his Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, for providing the educational system with programs that contribute to the promotion of female graduates' skills through cultural, cognitive, and scientific activities designed according to international quality standards. These programs will enable them to serve their country and build its renaissance to bring it to international levels.
She asserted that the outcomes of the university are in line with modern educational systems and university strategic plans that aim at graduating professional personnel who will be able to integrate quickly into the labor market with efficiency and professional skills.
The ceremony began with the graduation of female students from Umm Al-Qura University. The ceremonial speech started with a welcoming address by the ceremony sponsor, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, who welcomed the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Halah Al-Amoudi, vice deans of colleges and deanships, academic staff, honorable guests, and female graduates' mothers.
Her Excellency the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Fatimah Al-Ghamdi, said that the graduation ceremony is the result of years of diligence and hard work and indicated that Umm Al-Qura University provides its female students with all the cognitive and scientific support they need to develop their personalities. This gives them necessary experience to be able to enter their scientific careers according to the goals of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 and the objectives of the National Transformation Plan 2020.
The graduates' speech was delivered by the female student Dalal Aal Al-Sheikh, a graduate of the College of Arabic Language and Literature, on behalf of her colleagues. She offered her thanks to the leaders of the university for their efforts in facilitating the students' learning and knowledge. Then, the top and outstanding students in different educational stages were honored with valuable presents.
