The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership at Umm Al-Qura University yesterday held, in collaboration with the road security forces in the Holy City, a program entitled, "Red Signal". The program aimed to inform university affiliates about driving and traffic safety, with a number of educative messages to increase their awareness of security matters.
The Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Direction and Guidance, Dr. Amal Sindi, explained that the activity themes tackled the traffic safety system that was approved by the road security forces in the region, in order to inform the affiliates about them to avoid speeding and distractions that lead to committing traffic violations and accidents. She added that the road forces provided us with all the required information and tools to activate the campaign entitled, "Your Safety is our Responsibility inside the University", to promote traffic awareness among all affiliates of the university.
The activity hosted the female students and affiliates in public education. There were also recreational activities accompanying the program for 30 children from different kindergartens of Makkah to inform them about traffic signals and the necessity of abiding by safety instructions inside the car, employing entertaining learning methods.
