7 Dhul-Qi`dah is the Date for the Announcement of the Admission Results to the Universities of the Western Region

The deans of admission and registration in the universities of the western region set 7 Dhul-Qi`dah, 1440 A.H. as the date for announcing the admission results of the new students for the next academic year. The date was determined during the coordinating meeting of the deans of admission and registration in the different universities of the western region, which was held in Umm Al-Qura University, represented in the Deanship of Admission and Registration, on Thursday morning, 21 Rajab, 1440 A.H. The meeting was held in the presence of the representatives of King Abdul-Aziz University, Taibah University, Taif University, Jeddah University, Al-Baha University, and the Vice Dean of Information Technology for E-Transactions in UQU, Dr. Atef Al-Hijaili.

UQU Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghamdi, stressed onthe importance of mutual cooperation and coordination between the participating universities to set a unified mechanism for the processes of admission and registration, and on the provision of practical technological solutions for the difficulties of the registration processes. This is to facilitate the process of admission of the new students, to be carried out smoothly with clear transparency.

During the meeting, a number of effective initiatives were proposed to accelerate the activities among the deanships and activate the mechanism of communication between the universities concerned in order to update the data of the accepted and withdrawn students, on a daily basis. The participants also discussed the proposal of holding workshops for admission and registration in the concerned universities to come up with practical ideas and initiatives that contribute to the development of the processes of admission and registration, besides the proposition of paying reciprocal visits among the universities to exchange expertise and successful experiences.
