In recognition of the importance of knowledge transmission, and in line with the National Transformation Program (NTP) that seeks to achieve knowledge-related performance excellence, the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sha`iri, launched the Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations Award at the 2018 Achievement Ceremony, on Sunday 18 Rajab 1440 A.H., corresponding to 25 March 2019 A.C., under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University.

The award includes two main tracks (categories):

The consultations track and the vocational development track.

The award aims to:

1. Honor the innovators in the fields of consultancy and training.
2. Raise awareness about the importance of excellence, idealism, and role modeling among the consultants and trainers.
3. Motivate trainers and consultants to be innovative and achieve excellence, and energize the drive of the UQU academic staff members.
4. Honor the best trainers and consultants at Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations.
