The University Colleges at Al-Leith Branch Celebrates Its 1440 A.H. Graduates

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Emir of Makkah Region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Al-Leith University Colleges celebrated the graduation of their bachelor's students for the academic year 1439-1440 A.H. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail; the Governor of Al-Leith, Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Qabaa; the vice presidents; the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki; the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Iskandar Muhammad Husawi; the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Al-Leith, Dr. Tariq Zhafar; along with the college vice deans, the heads of departments, and the members of the college academic staff and personnel. The event was held at Al-Louloua Celebration Hall.

The Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki, said in his welcoming speech to the university president and the governor of Al-Leith that this ceremony was organized by His Excellency the UQU President within the context of boosting student motivation, and as a gesture of sharing their happiness on their graduation, in order for them to be a force that builds our country.

Dr. Al-Maliki added that Al-Leith University College abounds with talent, all praise be to Allah. It has about five thousand students and seventy scholarship students in the various fields of scientific and theoretical specialties. He also highlighted the support and attention received by Al-Leith University College from His Excellency the University President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, allowing it to become one of the leading colleges in a number of fields.

The Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghamdi, announced the results of the bachelor's graduates of Al-Leith University College, as well as other colleges, who numbered 353 in all; 289 students from Al-Leith University College, 8 students from the College of Computer Science, 27 students from the College of Engineering, and 29 students from the College of Health Sciences.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the graduating class, student Fawaz Abdul-Karim Al-Zahrani said: "It is a great honor for us, as graduates, to stand today celebrating the harvest of our efforts, and to emphasize our determination to carry on with more efforts, deeds, and words (towards our goals). We do this while being fully resolute to contribute to the fields of national development honestly, sincerely, efficiently, and effectively, in order to keep pace with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 and gain an appreciation of the efforts made by our parents and teachers. We express our deepest thanks and gratitude to the leader of our blessed journey, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah protect them). We renew our sincere loyalty to them and our covenant of fidelity. We ask Almighty Allah to preserve our country - both its leadership and people. We beg Allah to continue to bestow on our country the blessings of security, safety, and prosperity. We extend our thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and also to the vice presidents, he dean of Al-Leith University College, the deans of the colleges, the heads of departments, the academic members of the college, and all those who contributed to our service throughout our learning journey at this prestigious university."

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, said: "On this joyous and blessed day, we celebrate the graduation of a group of our brilliant university sons and daughters from the Leith branch of Umm Al-Qura University; our sixty-seventh class of graduates. I congratulate you, my sons and daughters, on the precious occasion of your graduation and share in your joy on this day, which you have been working towards for so long. Now you are reaping the fruits of your efforts, diligence, and perseverance. So take delight in what you have planted and what you have reaped; our country is fortunate to have you as its citizens."

His Excellency the UQU President also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz (may Allah protect them), for their generous support of the education process in the whole country generally and in Umm Al-Qura University specifically, thus enabling the university to deliver its educational, research, and societal message. He also offered his deep thanks to the Adviser of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, for his generous patronage of the graduation ceremony and his continuous support of the university. He also thanked the Deputy Emir of Makkah Province, His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, for his continuous follow-up of the activities and progress of the university. He also thanked His Excellency the Governor of Al-Leith, Muhammad bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Qabaa, who honored the ceremony by attending on behalf of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and sharing in the joy with the graduates on this blessed day. Finally, he thanked His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, for his constant support and assistance to us at Umm Al-Qura University.
