Al Zaidi Chair of Research in Rheumatic Diseases pays great attention to scientific activities and research of rheumatic and arthritis diseases. This is evident in the brilliant participation and continuous accomplishments thereof all through the past years.
The Chair is famous for its journey of interest in every new discovery in the domain of rheumatic and arthritis diseases, as well as its obvious support and encouragement for the use of available means and sources and recent technologies. As a continuation to this the Chair, along with King Fahd General Hospital in Jeddah and the students of the College of Medicine at Umm Al Qura University, organized an awareness campaign within the event of the World Arthritis Day and under the supervision of Dr. Sultanah Abdulaziz, Consultant of Internal and Rheumatic Diseases and coordinator and organizer of the World Arthritis Day at the Hospital, on Wednesday and Thursday 12-13th October 2016. The campaign aimed at raising the level of awareness of both society and patients.
Therefore, various awareness corners, where consultants of rheumatic diseases replied to the queries of attendees, were established. In addition, the attendees filled a special questionnaire of early discovery of the disease. There was also a corner for clinical examination. Finally, the attendees were granted awareness booklets and special gifts (photos attached).
