Four Government Agencies Participate in a Workshop Entitled ‘Research Topics Suggested by the Beneficiaries’

Yesterday, the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil at Umm Al-Qura University held a workshop entitled "Research Topics Suggested by the Beneficiaries" at its headquarters in Al-Aziziyyah, with the participation of 18 officials representing the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Public Prosecution, and Makkah Police. The workshop aimed to highlight the most important research needs in line with the university's vision and mission.

The Dean of the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Risaini, said that such scientific workshops are aimed at boosting the institute's role and mission in serving the community and scientific research, building bridges of communication with the relevant bodies, identifying problems facing them, and highlighting their role in the prevention and control of these problems. He also praised the support and guidance provided by His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, for the different activities of the institute.

The workshop came out with several recommendations suggested by the representatives of the government agencies and the institute's lecturers in line with the institute's scope of specialization and scientific mission. The institute is a higher academic university unit harmonizing education and training to increase the efficiency of the Muhtasib (the person who practices Hisbah) scientifically, skillfully, and behaviorally taking in to consideration the nature of the reality and the future aspirations.
