UQU President: Student Clubs Are Working to Refine the Talents of Students and Develop Their Skills

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, stressed, during his visit yesterday, on Monday, to the building of Student Activities at the Deanship of Student Affairs, that the student clubs are working to refine the talents of students and contribute to developing their skills.

Dr. Bafail inspected the headquarters of the clubs of Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Awareness and Mass Communication, the Social Club, Scout Groups, Scholarship Club, and the Cultural Club. He also held a meeting with the presidents of the clubs, and listened to their demands and needs. Moreover, he stressed that the clubs are working to refine the talents of students and contribute to developing their skills. He concluded his tour by inspecting the Theater Club, where he watched the play called, "The Storm".

During his tour, the UQU President was accompanied by the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Suruji, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr Al-Saqqaf, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Talal Muthanna, the Vice Dean for Student Activities and Training, Dr. Omar Sunbul, and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Counseling and Guidance, Dr. Sa`id Halawani.

Furthermore, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr Al-Saqqaf, pointed out that clubs, 23 clubs in total, serve all the university students. These clubs also play vital roles in developing the extracurricular skills of the students, and enhancing their distinguished qualities. He expressed his thanks to the President of Umm Al-Qura University, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, and the Vice Deans and the staff of the Deanship for their constant support and supervision.
