Today, His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, received some officials in his office, at Al-Abdiyyah, from Prince Muhammad bin Salman College for Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, namely the Vice Dean of Executive Education Dr. Muhammad Rumi, and the Vice Dean of Educational Affairs Dr. Pablo de Holan. They were also accompanied by Dr. Liliana Pérez-Nordtvedt (from the University of Texas, Arlington, USA), the Advisor of Al-Mualim Muhammad Bin Laden Chair for Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al-Qura University. The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir Al-Harbi, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Bafail stressed the special attention paid by the university to innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. This is exerted with the aim of keeping in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 by helping to disseminate this culture through Al-Mualim Muhammad Bin Laden Chair for Creativity and Entrepreneurship, the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the university, and the Intellectual Property Office.
The Vice Dean of Executive Education at Prince Muhammad bin Salman College for Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muhammad Azzam Rumi, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and the opportunities available for it in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the college has qualitative programs that help to develop and promote a culture of creativity and innovation, and he added that the college is honored to cooperate with Umm Al-Qura University, which is distinguished by its unique, fertile environment for attracting entrepreneurs.
The Vice Dean of Educational Affairs of Prince Muhammad bin Salman College for Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Pablo de Holan, reviewed a number of academic programs and specialized courses offered by the college in this field, stressing that these programs were prepared in accordance with the methodology of pioneering thought and work, combining intellectual and educational knowledge with leading and innovative applied research.
Dr. Liliana Pérez-Nordtvedt, on her part, expressed that she is honored to cooperate with Al-Mualim Muhammad Bin Laden Chair, noting that she is currently engaged in a scientific research in partnership with the academic chair on innovation in leading companies in Saudi Arabia.
The chair professor, Dr. Mahmoud Flattah, said that Al-Mualim Muhammad Bin Laden Chair for Creativity and Entrepreneurship seeks to spread this culture. Moreover, it seeks to participate in its development through the dissemination of research, planning periodic meetings for those interested in this field, and molding a new generation of specialists in scientific research on entrepreneurship.
