The Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences participated in the Second Saudi Conference for Clinical Toxicology that was hosted by Makkah Maternity and Children's Hospital, in cooperation with the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the College of Medicine at the university. The conference was held for three days, from Tuesday till Thursday, 28-30 Jumada Al-Thani,1440 AH, under the auspices of His Excellency the General Director of Health Affairs in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, Dr. Wa'il bin Hamzah Matir.
The conference's events witnessed participation by the Department of Chemistry with an awareness corner about the toxic chemicals that exist in the surrounding environment, such as those in insecticides, smoke, plastics and some household utensils, as well as finding alternative solutions for them.
The conference was concluded by expressing thanks and appreciation to the Department of Chemistry for the great efforts it exerted, as academic members, laboratories technicians and female students of the department participated in the conference.
The college's media committee covered the event, under the supervision of Ms. Rajaa Abdul-Wahhab Noqali and the student Rahaf Muhammed Al-Aqaili.
