Dr. Bakri ibn Ma’atuq a’asas, the Umm Al-Qura University president, opened an awareness-raising exhibit about the thinking, magic and technological means. Present were Sheikh Abdul-Rahman ibn Mahana Aljihini; the director-general of the Makkah-based branch of the Generla Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Alda’aliji; chairman of the Makkah Region Development and Dr. Sa’ad ibn Said Alghamdi; the Preparatory Year dean. The exhibit took place at the corridor of the Preparatory Year Deanship in the Ala’abidiah-based dormitory. The exhibit featured awareness-raising printed matters about faith, intellectual thinking, morality, optimal ways of using the technological means and warning against witchcraft and sorcery.

Still, the exhibit at the male students’ section lasts for three days, whereas at the female students’ section it runs through two days. It showcases the importance of Hijab (veil), blackmailing danger and intellectual security.

The Director-General of Makkah-based branch of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice pointed out that such exhibits receives the support of his Royal Highness Prince Khalid Alfaisal; advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Makkah emir, and they are directed and followed up by President of  the General Presidency of  the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice Prof. Abdul-Rahaman ibn Abdullah Alsanad. He went on to laud the constant cooperation of  Dr. Bakri ubn Ma’atiq A’asas, the University president, in the programs which the Makkah Region Development holds for students. This in turn raises our students’ awareness about the misleading thinking and its consequences.  

By the same token, Dr. Bakri, the University president, underlined that these educational programs safeguards our students against the intellectual deviations, rampant via social networking websites. He further praised the efforts made by the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.
