In cooperation with the Health Affairs in Makkah, the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the UQU College of Medicine will organize tomorrow, on Tuesday, 28 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., the proceedings of the Second Saudi Conference for Clinical Toxicology. The event will be held at the Maternity and Pediatric Hospital, and is scheduled to last three days.
The Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College and President of the Conference, Prof. Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, pointed out that the conference aims to discuss the latest developments in the treatment of cases of poisoning, and the associated diagnosis and follow-up of the patients.
He emphasized that the conference will be attended by a wide range of experts, doctors, and specialists who are interested and specialize in the field. He also highlighted the support and care the conference receives from His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul-Salam Nur Wali, the Dean of the College of Medicine.
The conference will be attended by nearly 30 speakers, and will offer 20 lecture sessions and 5 workshops. 28 scientific posters will be displayed throughout the conference, all of them addressing the treatment and prevention of cases of poisoning.
