Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Safety Department, participated in the activities of the World Civil Defense Day in the Holy City of Makkah, under the slogan of "Children's safety, our responsibility". The event was inaugurated today by the Director of Civil Defense in Makkah Region, Major General Salim Al-Matrafi, in the Mecca Mall, in the presence of a number of directors of different government departments.
The pavilion of Umm Al-Qura University included a number of safety-related awareness notices, as well as brochures about the university's safety mechanisms and procedures, its efforts in the service of its employees, and ways to prevent risks and maintain facilities and properties.
The participation of the Safety Department in the event is part of its interaction with world events and days.
It is worth mentioning that the event was attended by a number of governmental and non-governmental bodies and presented a number of shows, including a documentary film about the importance of child safety, and the mechanism of dealing with the risks that occur in different situations (he may face). The activities also entailed a documentary about the dangers of electrical wiring, and another about the dangers of swimming pools. Moreover, the most important guidelines in all the above situations were provided.
