Saudi Export Development Authority Assigns a Pavilion for Wadi Makkah at Gitex Week

The Saudi Export Development Authority assigned a special pavilion for the Wadi Makkah start-ups at Gitex Tech Week 2016. The pavilion included 27 pavilions for the Saudi technology companies able to export their products for the overseas markets. Gitex is the biggest commercial events in Dubai, and is a gate for the well-known trademarks coming to the Middle East.

The Saudi Export Development Authority came as a result of the successes the Wadi Makkah start-ups made in terms of venturing into the markets and making sales to governmental and private entities. This attracted the investors to them from within and outside the Kingdom.

The Wadi Makkah start-ups taking part in the exhibit diversified between the companies specialized in the smart cities field and the internet of things, such as “Averos”, a smart city company, and “Navibees:” an internal navigation company. Still, a number of the Wadi Makkah start-ups specialized in the medical care field took part in the exhibit such as “Soft Care” for health care, founded by Dr. Abdullah Murad. It presents innovative solutions for many medical fields such as therapy clinics, sterilization quality audit in hospitals, autism centers service and medical emergency among others. Also, the medical laboratories company “BioKubes” was present at the exhibit. The company provides a platform and full-fledged automatic system for examining the microbes extracted from different samples such as food, dust and blood among others.

 

Within the same vein, the   Wadi Makkah Company for Technology Chief Executive Officer; Dr. Usama ibn Rashid Ala’amiri boasted about the Wadi Makkah start-ups participating in the Gitex Week, through the pavilion of the Saudi Export Development Authority alongside  a number of the big Saudi Companies. This emphasizes the quality of the Wadi Makkah start-ups’ products and its ability to venture into the world markets. He went on to extend his deepest thanks to the Umm Al-Qura University President, Chairman of the Wadi Makkah Company for Technology Board of Directors, the Work and Knowledge Innovation University Presidency, Vice- chairman of the Wadi Makkah Company for Technology; Dr. Nabilibn Abdul-Qadir Kushuk for participating in these symposiums and international exhibits which are considered an attractive environment for the clients and investors, and an important platform for publicizing about the start-ups and creating a niche for them regionally and internationally.
