Three Thousand Students from Various Majors to Compete in the Activities of the 10th Scientific Forum

Today, Monday 13 Jumada Al-Thani 1440 A.H., three thousand students from 34 colleges in various educational majors at Umm Al-Qura University will stand before the judging committee of the "educational debates contest" as part of the activities of the Tenth Scientific Forum for University Students organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The forum is held to promote their talents and display their abilities and innovations in the presence of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail; the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Suruji; and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqqaf.

The UQU Vice-President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Suruji, stated that the 12-day forum has been held as part of the university's support for the research, innovative, technical, and scientific fields of its students for over ten years. He pointed out that the preliminary qualifiers for the educational debates contest will be held with five main themes comprised of 44 educational fields.

"In the 10th year of the forum, we are looking to achieve the largest ever participation in the history of the forum by giving students the opportunity to compete and achieve excellence in the 44 fields of the forum," he said. He indicated that five exhibitions will be launched at the start of the forum, focusing on artwork, documentary films, scientific innovations, distinctive ideas in entrepreneurship, community service posters and reports, and investigative journalism.
