The Empowerment Plan (Tamkeen 2023) team at Umm Al Qura University (UQU) have discussed the strategic analysis of the UQU internal and external environment. These discussions are in preparation for the formulation of the plan, setting its objectives, focal areas, and initiatives based on the university's potential and the needs of the labor market aligned to national, local, and global aspirations.
In their fourth meeting of the second phase, the team members discussed the workshop that will be held for the university’s customers benefiting from the public, private and non-profit sectors. They also discussed the analysis and questionnaires to be submitted at the workshop. The objective of holding this workshop is to contribute to the university plan through drafting strategic clauses that both achieve excellence in the university services provided to the community and fulfill the university mission with regard to community responsibility.
The Tamkeen 2023 team praised the support and care extended by His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, and his provision of all the necessary facilities to facilitate the team’s work on the campus in both the male and female sections. They also praised the close and meticulous follow up of the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Uthman Ghazi, for the work plan.
The Empowerment Plan (Tamkeen 2023) aims to harmonize its strategies with positive local and global experiences to come up with a comprehensive strategic plan for the academic research and investment activities, especially for Hajj and Umrah services, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, by the end of the current academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The plan is focused on strengthening the infrastructure of the educational, research, and administrative environment.
