Inaugurating the Building of the College of Applied Sciences after its Reconfiguration

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has inaugurated the building of the College of Applied Medical Sciences (female section) in the medical colleges axis in Al-Abdiyyah. The inauguration came after the building was remodeled to provide an educational environment that is attractive to knowledge and teaching and inspires innovation and distinction. The remodeling is part of the fulfillment of the 'Be Happy' initiative. His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, and the deans of supporting deanships and concerned administrations attended the event.

His Excellency the President visited the e-learning laboratory at the college, which contains 30 modern computers equipped with means of e-learning. He also learnt about the murals of the alumni association, the dean's honor list for intern year students in different college specializations, and students' graffiti work for the initiative, 'Be Happy'. He was also informed about provision of modern equipment for the classrooms.

His Excellency also became acquainted with the needs of the educational labs, and ordered that they be equipped with the most modern technologies used in the educational process. He asserted that the student is considered to be the pivot of the educational process.

His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ayman Al-Sa'igh, praised the care and support of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University toward preparing the educational, cognitive and research environment of the university. Such efforts contribute in graduating a generation that meets the requirements of the labor market, and is capable of conducting medical research in fields related to the community, and those related to Hajj and Umrah.
