His Excellency UQU President, Dr. Abdullah Bafail, declared that the doors of Umm Al-Qura University and its facilities would be open to the orphans for them to benefit from its scientific and academic programs and extra-curricular activities. His statement came during a visit by the Chairman of the Managing Board of the Kafel Orphan Care Establishment, Dr. Abdullah bin Dawud Al-Fayiz, and the Director of the Welfare Department at the Orphan Establishment, Ahmad Qutb, along with a group of orphans. This came as part of the Kafel initiative, "Being with Orphans in the Secure City".
His Excellency also signed a community partnership agreement with the Chairman of the Kafel Establishment, aiming at cooperation between the two sides in supporting the orphans and utilizing the university's experience in conducting programs and courses that would contribute to the educational and scientific qualification of orphaned children.
The Chairman of the Managing Board of the Kafel Orphan Care Est. expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, the University President, for his continuous support and attention towards the programs and services offered by the orphan establishment. The Director of the Welfare Department at Kafel, Ahmad Qutb, explained that their contribution to the support and care of the orphans extends from the time they join the establishment, and continues until they gain employment.
