Start-up Technologies of Wadi Makkah Draw Gitex Clients and Invetors

On Thursday, October 20th, 2016, the Gitex Tech Week 2016, held in Dubai the 36th round in the Dubai World Trade Center, is to draw to a close. The Wadi Makkah start-ups took part with all its innovative products, which were received well from the visitors, businessmen and investors since the first day of the exhibit. 

The Wadi Makkah start-ups taking part in the exhibit diversified between the companies specialized in the smart cities field and the internet of things among these companies are the smart city company “Averos”, which participated with a number of its products  such as low-powered sensor ‘Corblo”, which was installed recently by virtue of a contract with to carry out the internal navigation project in the Sacred Mosque, in collaboration with the internal navigation company “Navibees” one of the Wadi Makkha start-ups and taking part in the exhibit.

Still, a number of the Wadi Makkah start-ups specialized in the medical care field took part in the exhibit such as “Soft Care” for health care, founded by Dr. Abdullah Murad. It presents innovative solutions for many medical fields such as therapy clinics, sterilization quality audit in hospitals, autism centers service and medical emergency among others. Also, the medical laboratories company “BioKubes” was present at the exhibit. The company provides a platform and  full-fledged automatic system for examining the microbes extracted from different samples such as food, dust and blood among others.

Similatly, the the Wadi Makkah start-ups specialized in transportation and gathering management were among the participants at Gitex Week. Among these companies is the traffic data company “Traffixity” which presents a system for facilitating the smart transporting in cities, drawing on the computing vision technologies. One more company is the snart vehicle company “Convex”, and it provides fully-fledged system tracking the movement of vehicles, pinpointing its destination and parking points   

Within the same vein, Dr. Saleh Basalamah, ‘Averos” founder, and Dr. Akram Nur; the “Taweel’ founder; and Eng. Abdullah A’asiri, “Lucidya” founder expressed their happiness with participating in the exhibit, which give them an opportunity for exchanging expertise with many  of the businessmen and  company owners, and for meeting investors and clients from all over the world.

The Wadi Makkah start-ups in Gitex Week reflects the interest of those in charge of Wadi Makkah, topped by the Umm Al-Qura University President, Chairman of the Wadi Makkah Company for Technology, the Work and Knowledge Innovation University Presidency, Vice- chairman of the Wadi Makkah Company for Technology; Dr. Nabilibn Abdul-Qadir Kushuk; and the   Wadi Makkah Company for Technology Chief Executive Officer; Dr. Usama ibn Rashid Ala’amiri, in participating in these symposiums and international exhibits which are considered an attractive environment for the clients and investors, and an important platform for publicizing about the start-ups and creating a niche for them regionally and internationally.
