The University President Honors Malak Qazaz, the Scholar, and Excellent Medicine Students

The Umm Al-Qura University President, Dr. Bakri ibn Ma’atuq A’asas honered the Medicine College teaching assistant and scholar in Canada, Malak Qazaz, for coming first  at the seventh Scientific Research Day for surgery basics. The event took place at the University of Alberta on October 5th, 2016. He also honored a group of Medicine College top interns at his office at the Albidiah-based dormitory, on October 19th, 2016. Present were the Medicien College Dean; Dr. Anamr Nasser; Medicine College Vice Deanship; Dr Hani Almoa’alim and Head of the Skills Center; Dr. Usama Marghlani, ear and nose and throat surgery consultant. 

Still, Dr. Anamr Nassr, the Medicine College dean, took pride upon the College’s students, underlining that the College graduates emulate with the best colleges in the region. This resulted from what is delivered in terms of capabilities and methods for advancing the scientific movement. He went on to add that the College works on becoming a perfect, leading role model for all the Kingdom’s medicine colleges in terms of the voluntary work  and haj performers service as it has become a main part of the new syllabus. He also underscored that the College is honored to have 450 students take part in the voluntary haj work, and having the student participate in the haj will become a key condition for completing their training stage. This in turn makes them well-versed in the medical services delivered for the haj performers.  

Similarly, Dr. Bakri lauded the outcomes of the Medicine College programs and academic staff. This resulted in distinctive medical cadres favored with appointing in the medical jobs of the fields they excel in. he also draw attention to the fact that what confirm the distinction of this college is awarding the international academic accreditation for all its programs. He further praised the efforts the College Dean makes and all the academic staff members.

For their part, the interns expressed their gratitude and gratefulness to the University President for honoring them. They also extended their thanks to the College Dean and the College Vice Deanship for their boundless support, ongoing follow-up and constant encouragement for all the College’s students. They pray Allah, the Almighty that such honoring becomes support and encouragement for serving their country and society.

It is mentionable that the top medicine students honored: Dr. Faisal Mandorah and Hisham Bahadir obtained the best intern at Makkah Maternity and Children’s Hospital amid tense competition from many of the region’s colleges and universities. Dr. Seif Silti excelled and got the best inern at the pediatrics department at the National Guard Hospital whereas Dr. Abdul-Rahman bisaqr got the best intern at Jeddah Maternity Hospital.
