President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas has taken an administrative decision.

According to Dr. Assas' Advisor Mr. Essam bin Hassan Margoushi, the decision was issued in light of the UQU's Organizational Structure that meets the highest standards of comprehensive quality. It was issued to follow up the academic and administrative organization of the university and out of the keenness to maintain safety of buildings, property, employees and students at all branches, he said, adding the president has taken the decision out of his commitment to the even distribution of responsibilities and authorities. The decision states that:

One: Department of Safety & Security shall be divided.

Two: A proposal to establish an independent department named (The Department of Safety) is approved to be inferiorly linked to the presidency.

Three: Eng. Hassan bin Sa'ed Qasi Al Ahmedy (4160003) - who is currently works as (Supervisor Electrical Engineer - 10th Rank) - shall chair the new department.

Four: Eng. Suleiman bin Omar Suleiman Al Shenawy (4281398 - currently works as architect at Rank 9) is appointed as assistant to head of the Safety Department for Technical Affairs.

Five: Eng. Hassan bin Mohamed Saleh Shawish (4073862 - currently works as scientific researcher at Rank 9) is appointed as assistant to head of the Safety Department for Administrative Affairs.

Six: Eng. Walid bin Mubarak Eid Al Juhani (4320408 - currently works as security and safety supervisor at Rank 9) is appointed as assistant to head of the Safety Department for Safety Affairs.

Seven: The following employees shall be moved from their current posts to the Safety Department:

1. Eng. Mohamed bin Ibrahim bin Ahmed Bana (4170186) - Head of Engineering Department at rank 10
2. Employee Motaz bin Ahmed bin Khalil Razin (4230172) - Security and safety supervisor at rank 5
3. Employee Mohamed bin Abdu Mohamed Al Sawdy (4270161) - Clerk at rank 5 .
4. Employee Ibrahim bin Ali bin Ibrahim Al Hakmy (4240025) - Security and safety supervisor at rank 4
5. Employee Nayef bin Ahmed bin Saleh Kably (4250011) - Clerk at rank 3 .
6. Employee Motaeb bin Mosleh Al Qarhi - Employed under a contract with College of Community Service and Continuing Education as security and safety supervisor.
7. Employee Sa'd bin Abdullah Al Bashir - Employed under a contract with College of Community Service and Continuing Education as security and safety supervisor.

Eight: Eng. Hassan bin Sa'ed Qasi Al Ahmedy, the Head of the Safety Department is responsible for: (Managing the administrative, financial and technical issues and shall have the power to take decisions on missions assigned to the department taking into account the applicable regulations, laws, directives and decisions. By the end of the fiscal year, he shall file an inclusive report that covers all the department's activities and needs. He shall receives help from assistants).

The decision shall be valid and applicable as of: Moharram 12, 1438H till the expiry of the mandate decision issued under the administrative order no. 4370000715, dated Moharram 1, 1437H.
