Appointment of Dr. Ra’id Al-Usaimi as Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, UQU President, issued a decree appointing Dr. Ra’id Al-Usaimi as Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies.

His Excellency lauded the persistent efforts made by the former Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, Prof. Ghazi bin Murshid bin Khalaf Al-Utaibi, during his tenure of office. He gratefully acknowledged the praiseworthy and brilliant services that His Excellency rendered to the University, which significantly contributed to its advancement. He added that these accomplishments were the result of Allah's support, first and foremost, and then the support of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allah protect him).

He then extended his congratulations to Dr. Ra’id Al-Usaimi on assuming his duties as Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, and emphasized the need for diligence and perseverance to build upon the earnest efforts made by the former Dean. Finally, he wished Dr. Al-Usaimi success in his new post.

On his part, Dr. Ra’id Al-Usaimi expressed his thanks for the trust that His Excellency, UQU President, put in him by appointing him as Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, stressing that, with Allah's Help, he would meet his expectations. He then praised the efforts of the former Dean Dr. Ghazi Al-Utaibi, highlighting that he would work on developing these efforts in a way consistent with the Saudi Vision 2030, and in accordance with the National Transformation Plan 2020.
