His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, inaugurated a workshop on "The Development of the Administrative Structure and Strategic Plan for Project Management", which was organized by the General Department of Projects in cooperation with Ahdaf Consulting Company. The workshop was held in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hani bin Uthman Ghazi, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, His Excellency Dr. Farid bin Ali Yahia Al-Ghamdi, the Dean of the Faculty Members and Employee Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad bin Wasil Al-Hazimi, the General Supervisor of Project Management, as well as project, facilities, services and security managers. The workshop was held in Jeddah.

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), appreciated the wise leadership's support of the educational process and its research, academic, and administrative environment. He pointed out that through this workshop we can come up with a strategic administrative structure in the short and long term whose objectives are in line with the future plans of the University that emanate from the Development Vision for the Emirate of Makkah Province. This strategic administrative structure will be developed for the University Headquarters in Makkah and its branches in the governorates of Al-Jamoum, Al-Leith, Adham, Al-Qunfudhah and Al-Ordyat. These plans aim to provide an educational environment that can match its programs with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

His Excellency also wished that this workshop would bring about positive results with regard to achieving the hopes and aspirations of the University affiliates, including the academic staff, employees, and students, to develop the work mechanism in the General Department of Projects and the related departments. This is in order to develop the work structure between these departments that will positively affect the academic and research environment. He also praised the efforts of the General Supervisor of Project Management and all participants in this workshop.

On his part, Dr. Muhammad bin Wasil Al-Hazimi, the General Supervisor of Project Management, pointed out that this workshop prepares the strategic plan for project management and restructures it in line with the new directions and developmental movement witnessed by the University at all levels. He pointed out that the goals and vision for the next phase of the works of the General Department of Projects will be stressed in this workshop. He also appreciated the support and attention given by His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, to the works of the General Department of Projects and the related bodies.
