His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University Receives the Annual Report of the Deanship of Admission and Registration

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, received the annual report of the Deanship of Admission and Registration for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. on Tuesday, 18 Rabi` Al-Thani 1440 A.H., corresponding to 25 December 2018 A.C. This took place during a meeting in his office with Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Suruji, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs; Dr. Hashim Al-Samdani, the Dean of Admission and Registration; Dr. Khalid Al-Thaqafi, the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration; Dr. Husam Al-Hukmi, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ali Al-Qarni, the Vice Dean of Admission and Registration for Registration Affairs; and Bandar Al-Dahhas, Director of the Office of the Dean of Admission and Registration.

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University reviewed the content of the report that included the administrative structure of the Deanship, its agencies, departments, vision and mission, as well as the number of the students admitted during the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. at the university headquarters in Makkah and its branches in the governorates of Al-Jamoum, Al-Leith, Al-Qunfudhah, and Adham. The total number of students amounted to 99000.

His Excellency praised the content of the report and its distinctive information, stressing his keenness to upgrade academic services and intensify efforts in preparation for early registration for the second semester. He also pointed out that every student must have not less than 12 credit hours so they can keep to their academic plan and graduate in the period set for them.

His Excellency Dr. Hashim Al-Samdani reviewed the operational plan for the automatic transfer applied by the deanship during this year, which included 7 steps for students to enter their choices.
