In accordance with the directives of the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri M'atooq bin Bakri Assas, a UQU delegation under the chairmanship of the UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, and the  membership of the Vice-President for Educational Affairs  Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Srouji, the Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Faisal bin Ahmed Al-Alaf, the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Muhammad Ja'afar Thabet, the Dean of Consulting Research and Studies Institute, Dr. Ali Al-Shaari and the Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute Dr.  Wadei Barqawi,  participated  in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh on Monday Muharram 9th, 1438 H. It was concerned with the government universities initiatives within the National Transformation Program 2020. 

 
In this subject, the workshop reviewed and discussed initiatives of Umm Al-Qura University within the National Transformation Program  2020 and in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. 
 


On this occasion, Dr. Hani said that the UQU Delegation highlighted during the workshop the innovative contributions of the university and its vital role in achieving the National Transformation Program  2020. He pointed out that the government has allocated  SR 24 Billion to support the innovative initiatives meant to develop the education in the Kingdom through the National Transformation Program during the coming four years aimed at achieving the Kingdom Strategic Vision 2030.  
 


He lauded the attention and concern  of the Government of the Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz and the Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the close follow up of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Iesa and his support provided for the educational march in the Kingdom at all levels and the full support provided by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030 in the education field in the university.
