The President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has received the annual report of the achievements of the Deanship of Joint First Year for the Academic Year 1438-1439 A.H. He received the report during a meeting in his office on the university campus in Al-Abdiyyah with the Dean of Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdy, in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Al-Sorouji.
Prof. Bafail expressed his appreciation for the support provided to the university and its branches by the wise leadership that helps them create an appropriate educational environment that meets the aspirations of the university students, employees, and academic staff. He also praised the efforts of the Deanship of Joint First Year, which has had a positive impact on achieving the necessary success for its programs.
The report documented the achievements of the deanship and its different vice deanships, statistics of the academic and administrative staff, the various activities and events, the training courses organized by the supportive academic units, as well as the programs which reflect the deanship’s positive role in serving the university and the community and boosting the spirit of responsibility amongst its students. It also included the most important recommendation, which outlines the road for the deanship's aspirations in the coming period in line with the university's strategic plan and Saudi Vision 2030.
Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Sorouji expressed appreciation for the boundless support provided by the UQU President for Deanship of Joint First Year to enable it to achieve its desired goals. He also praised the efforts of the dean, Dr. Al-Ghamdy, the vice deans, and all the staff of the deanship in serving the students.
Dr. Saad Al-Ghamdy praised the ongoing support provided by the UQU Vice Presidency for Student Affairs, represented by Prof. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sorouji. He confirmed that such achievements would have not come to light without the close guidance of the UQU President, Prof. Bafail.
