The UQU Launches its Initiative in the Service of the Guests of the Merciful under the Academic Transformation Leadership Program

Umm Al-Qura University offered a visual presentation on its initiative entitled, "Umm Al-Qura University in the Service of the Guests of the Merciful", through its specialized team of academics. This took place within the framework of the Academic Transformation Leadership Program presented to the leaders of the Saudi universities and approved by Dr. Sa`d Al-Mas`udi, to further the quality of the initiative and the message provided by the service of the system of Hajj and Umrah.

The Committee of Experts on Judgment and Evaluation of the Initiatives included Umm Al-Qura University, King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah University, and Taif University.

The UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Uthman Ghazi, praised the initiative of Umm Al-Qura University, which aims to open up prospects and opportunities for the University in the fields of education, technology and financial development in relation to the service of the Guests of the Merciful. He pointed out that participation in this initiative emanates from the social responsibility of the University towards the service of pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah. He also appreciated the support and directives provided by His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, in improving the development and knowledge environments of the University, to help Umm Al-Qura University to become one of the leading and most advanced universities.

On their part, the initiative team valued the support and encouragement of the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Uthman Ghazi, and his presence in the initiative team. They also appreciated the interest of Dr. Muhammad Thabit, the Dean of Academic Development, in nominating them to represent the University in this program.

The initiative's 10 competent academic team members participated effectively in the Umm Al-Qura Initiative. Dr. Jabir Al-Zahrani made the visual presentation of the initiative. He was supported by Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, Ali Al-Qarni, Dr. Dhiyab Al-Maliki, Dr. Majid Farrash, Dr. Fahd Al-Hashimi, Dr. Najwa Samarqandi, and Dr. Atef Al-Hajili as well as Dr. Ayman Jawharji and Dr. Hana' Yamani, all of whom were responsible for the initiative.
