On Tuesday Rabi` Al-Awwal 12, 1440 A.H., the Department of Media at Al-Lith University College held a scientific symposium entitled ‘Effects of Social Networks on Youth’. The symposium was presented by the ex-vice dean of the college, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdu Adawy, and the supervisor of the department, Dr. Waleed Wadi Al-Neel Hijazy and was moderated by teaching assistant Mr. Mashhour bin Salim Al-Amry.
The symposium highlighted the positive and negative aspects of social media on youth and discussed the social media networks that have the most important impact on communities.
The symposium was the first of its kind in the department and was organized by the field training students under the supervision of the course teacher, Mr. Haroun Jamil Takrouni.
