Umm Al-Qura University Concludes the Training Program to Develop Grammatical Skills for (58) Teachers

The College of Arabic Language at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) concluded the fourth training program for the public education teachers in elementary classes, which was organized by the College in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in Makkah. The program titled "Developing the Grammatical and Spelling Skills of Arabic Teachers" was held in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni, the Dean of the College of Arabic Language, and Dr. Fahd Al-Zahrani, Assistant Director of Education in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region for Educational Affairs, at the theater of the College of Arabic Language and Literature at the University City in Al-Abdiyyah.

Dr. Fahd Al-Zahrani pointed out that such training programs came to fulfill the training requirements to promote some significant skills, in addition to the specialization of Arabic teachers. He indicated that these programs are presented by the expertise house and specialists at the College of Arabic Language at Umm Al-Qura University, and that applying such programs also comes in line with the Kingdom's 2030 Vision.

He asserted that the General Directorate of Education in Makkah aims to extend and conclude a partnership with the College of Arabic Language to offer a number of training programs that promote the cognitive skills of the teachers. This will have a positive effect on the learning process. He highly appreciated the cooperation and concern of Umm Al-Qura University in adopting these qualitative programs.

On his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni, the Dean of the College of Arabic Language, stated that these programs fulfill the linguistic needs of the teachers. He indicated that adopting such training programs for the staff of public education is part of the university's community responsibility towards the service of the educational mission. He emphasized that these programs contribute to promoting the skills of the public school teachers who are enrolled in these programs. Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni also appreciated, at the same time, the support and directives provided by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, for the activities and events of the College.
