UQU Vice-President Inspects the College of Dentistry's Premises

The UQU Vice-President for Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, inspected the medical and administrative facilities at the UQU College of Dentistry in Al-Abdiyyah on Sunday, 10 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. Dr. Sarah paid this visit due to her keenness to follow up and ensure that the workflow of the administrative and educational processes is in optimal form, and to become acquainted with the College's needs. She was received by the Vice-Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Sarah bint Wagdi Tahir; the Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Masha`il Al-Qahtani; and a number of the College's academic staff and employees. The Vice-Dean of the College accompanied Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli on a tour in order to introduce the College, its educational facilities, laboratory and its equipment, lecture rooms, and the administrative and office facilities.

Dr. Al-Khuli inspected the research laboratories, the therapeutic, specialized and emergency clinics, and the analytical and anatomical laboratories, where microscopes are linked to a large TV screen for illustrative explanations to be given to the female students. She also visited the simulation laboratories.

The Vice-Dean of the College of Dentistry, Sarah Tahir, clarified that the College works hard to qualify the female students according to the highest international scientific and training standards with a view to graduating students as excellent doctors. Moreover, she made it clear that the College's activities contribute to multiple community services through the Educational Hospital, which provides free treatment for patients. Moreover, these activities include establishing mobile dentistry clinics, and holding the Makkah's Smile Initiative, which was carried out in collaboration with the General Directorate of Education in Makkah. This initiative urged the mobile clinics to make field visits to public schools in Makkah Al-Mukarramah with the aim of spreading the culture of awareness in the society in general and among primary school students in particular. This is to encourage them to take good care of their teeth.

The UQU Vise-President met the College's students and listened to their opinions about the educational process at the College. At the end of the visit, the Vice-Dean of the College of Dentistry offered the UQU Vice-President a memorial shield, then Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli expressed her thanks to His Excellency the University President for the support and attention he provides in upgrading the University's educational environment. Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli also expressed her happiness with regard to the technical development she has witnessed at the College of Dentistry, which serves the educational process and upgrades the College's performance. She also appreciated all the efforts that have been exerted, and wished all the attendees success and prosperity.
