His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, UQU President, launched the trainers database at the College of Community Service and Continuing Education in the presence of the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Fahd Al-Dosary; the Dean of the College, Dr. Khalid bin Youssef Barqawi; the Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Salim bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi; and the Head of the Training Department, Dr. Salih bin Abdullah Al-Furaih. This took place in the meeting hall of the UQU President's office at Al-Abdiyyah campus.
Dr. Khalid Barqawi clarified that through this electronic system, the college aims to set up the trainers database to create a comprehensive list of the university's faculty members This will contribute greatly to raising the quality of outcomes of the training process at the college, which will be positively reflected in the caliber of trainees from the different governmental and private agencies in the various fields and training courses.
Dr. Khalid Barqawi confirmed that in pursuing the college's strategic objectives, in compliance with Saudi Vision 2030 and labor market requirements, training programs will be expanded in different fields. He pointed out that the college has quality programs that serve society and develop skills. He expressed appreciation for the support of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail for the college's various activities and events.
Dr. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Dosary clarified that the Deanship of Information Technology, in compliance with the instructions and aspirations of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, is seeking to automate the services offered by the university with the cooperation of the colleges and supportive deanships using modern technology, and utilizing this technology according to the kind of service required. Moreover, he mentioned that there are now more than ninety electronic services available for university staff.
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail expressed his appreciation for the wise leadership's support of the educational process and the academic environment. He highlighted the utilization of modern technology in serving the educational process for the university and its staff, and improving the university outcomes and educational message in line with the needs of the labor market and according to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
His Excellency encouraged the university staff to utilize this electronic system and register in the database in order to participate in serving society via the training courses that fulfill the needs of the governmental and local agencies and help to boost their cognitive and vocational skills. He then wished them much success and progress.
