UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs Participates in the Opening Activities of the Future Entrepreneurs Forum

The UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy, participated in the opening activities of the Future Entrepreneurs Forum organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week from Rabi`e Al-Awwal 4-7, 1440 A.H. The event was attended by the Vice Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, Dr.  Najwa bint Hussein Samarqandy, the deanship vice-deans, department heads, and female staff on Tuesday Rabi`e Al-Awwal 5, 1440 A.H. in Al-Jawharah Hall. 


 
The program commenced with a Quranic recitation, followed by the launch of the Innovative Challenge competition and the Choosing an Innovative Idea workshop. After that, Dr. Al-Kholy spoke about the importance of boosting the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship, directing the energetic youth to tackle new experiences to launch talent and innovative ideas. She was followed by Dr. Samarqandy, who introduced Global Entrepreneurship Week and made a presentation about the knowledge elements and entrepreneurial work of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute. An interesting video about the role of the institute in the university was then shown, as well as an interactive representation of entrepreneurship.
 


After that, the inspiring experience of Dr. Haifa Fadda, a leading UQU figure in the labor market, was highlighted. 
 
The second discussion panel was launched with a group of academic staff from UQU colleges and supportive deanships to exchange ideas and expertise with the Vice Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute, Dr. Noora Al-Farouqi; the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Training and Activities, Dr. Khulud Abo Al-Naja; the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences for Educational Affairs, Dr. Bariya Al-Jahdaly; and the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ramia Sindy. The discussion was run by Dr. Najwa Samarqandy. 
 

On the second day, the forum participants the workshops and cultural and introductive meetings in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. The female participants in the innovative challenge competition presented their works for the selection of a winner by the forum judges.

 

Dr. Sarah Al-Kholy concluded the forum by honoring the organizers of this successful event.
