Al-Leith University College at Umm Al-Qura University organized a workshop on 'Developing the Level of Services Offered to Pilgrims in Al-Leith Governorate'. This workshop came in the framework of Al-Leith University College participation in the Makkah cultural project, 'How can we be a good example?’ This project was organized this year, 1440 A.H., by the Emirate of Makkah Region, under the emblem, 'How can we develop our cities to serve Hajj and Umrah?' It was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Iman Al-Lihaiby, the Vice-Dean of the College at the College headquarters in Al-Leith governorate.
The workshop that was run by the academic member Dr. Rasha Maglad, and aimed at offering applicable solutions and initiatives to contribute in developing the services offered to pilgrims and performers of Umrah in Al-Leith Governorate, which is considered to be a main passage for pilgrims traveling along the international road that joins Makkah and Jeddah governorates with the region of Jazan. She pointed out that the level of quality of the services offered to pilgrims was examined, and a comprehensive account of the pros and cons of these services was put forward with a view to developing a mechanism to improve their quality level.
On his part, the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Maliki, praised the support and directions of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, with regard to the educational process in Al-Leith governorate. He pointed out that participation in the initiative of the Makkah Region that came within the project, 'How can we be a good example?, which falls under the umbrella of the current year's slogan, 'How can we develop our cities to serve Hajj and Umrah?', was part of the college's social responsibility towards the service of the guests of Allah and the surrounding society.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki pointed out that the workshop produced many initiatives and ideas that have contributed in developing services offered to pilgrims. He praised the efforts of all academic affiliates who participated in the workshop.
