Vice-President for Female Student Affairs Attends the Activities of the World Forum for Entrepreneurship Week

Under the noble sponsorship of His Excellency the UQU President, Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the Institute of Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al-Qura University held the activities of the World Forum for Entrepreneurship Week under the slogan "Future Entrepreneurs". These activities were held in coincidence with the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which aims to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship, and support creativity and innovation through many activities. The ceremony of the forum was opened on Monday, 4 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., in the presence of the Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly, the vice-deans of the deanships, and a number of academic staff from both the male and female sections. It took place in King Abdul-Aziz Hall (for men) and the Support Hall (for women) in the University City in Al-Abdiyyah.

The forum was opened with an introductory speech. This was followed by the speech delivered by the Dean of the Institute of Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, in which he welcomed the attendees, and clarified the importance of the dissemination of the culture of entrepreneurship and raising people's awareness with regard to supporting a knowledge-based economy. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, for the support and attention he gives to all the student activities and programs. During the ceremony, a video about the World Entrepreneurs' Day was displayed, and the graduation projects were presented and explained in detail. These projects included the outcomes of the enhancement of modern cognitive development and the outstanding practices in entrepreneurship education and e-learning.

His Excellency the UQU President, Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, delivered a speech in which he praised the role of the Institute of Creativity and Entrepreneurship in presenting programs and activities for the benefit of the entrepreneurs from among the students, academic staff, researchers, and innovators. This is in order to proceed towards the fulfillment of the Saudi Vision 2030, thereby contributing to the qualification and enablement  skills of the national cadres that serve the University and the society. He then wished them all success.

At the end of the ceremony, the Dean of the Institute of Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Orijah, honored His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and the Vice-President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi. This was followed by the opening of sessions in a coordinated way in the field of creativity and entrepreneurship. All the attendees then proceeded towards the exhibition accompanying the forum.
