Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly, UQU Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, attended the activities of the Student Camp organized by the female field training students at the Social Work Department, the College of Social Sciences. The activities took place in the presence of the Vice Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Dr. Khulud bint Abdullah Al-Thabity, Deputy Head of the Social Work Department, Dr. Amina bint Ahmed Al-Jindi, and the Program Supervisor, Dr. Najla Qandil, on Thursday 30 Safar, 1440 A.H., in the activity hall, in Al-Zahir, at the female section.
Upon arrival, Her Excellency toured the camp's pavilions and was briefed on its program, which was designed to develop the basic social work skills through the student camps, which are considered an important tool in the service of the community. This takes place through the establishment of several activities and events that contribute to the formation of relationships that serve all groups in the community as well as the explanation of the nature of the communal life in different situations to the participants, while recognizing and developing the ability to deal with the surrounding environment, which is the best way to develop communal experiences.
The program included several events, including the organization of the morning line for the female participants in the camps, the establishment of meaningful courses and competitions, and a theater show that presented several scenes in an atmosphere of happiness and joy, in addition to fashion shows and group games.
In the same regard, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuly, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, praised the efforts made by the Social Work Department for the establishment of this program, which contributes to the development of the humanitarian aspects needed by the University community, and the spread of a spirit of optimism and happiness among all the female affiliates. She extend her thanks and appreciation to all those involved in the field training activities.
