UQU Vice President for Student Affairs Reviews the Curricula Criteria Program of the Education Assessment and Training Commission

Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly, UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs, reviewed the most important strategic plans presented by the Education Assessment and Training Commission, through the Introductory Program of the National Criteria for Public Education Curricula. This program was organized by the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University, in cooperation with the Education Assessment and Training Commission. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Hala bint Sa`id Al-Amudy, the Dean of University Studies for Girls; Dr. Haya' Al-Omrany, General Manager of the Education Curricula Criteria Program; Dr. Muhammad Al-Obaydy, Supervisor General of Criteria and Professional Licenses; Dr. Aly Al-Matrafi, Dean of the College of Education; the academic team; and a number of academic staff from both the male and female sections. The event was held on Wednesday 22 Safar, 1440 A.H. in King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall at the University City in Al-Abdiyyah.
The meeting included a number of topics, including an introduction about the national criteria for the public education curricula; visual presentations on the current status of art education and international experiments in that field; a presentation on the importance of the English language, including the reliance on communicative methodology in teaching it, in addition to the Arabic language program that is currently being developed to keep pace with international guidelines in teaching and learning languages. The meeting also talked about analyzing international documents for teaching and learning languages, and building content and performance criteria for academic grades in public education.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly praised the fruitful efforts made by the College of Education, represented by its dean, Dr. Aly bin Muslih Al-Matrify. She also praised the support and guidance of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, and thanked everyone for their active participation in the workshop.
