Community College Gets the Academic Accreditation for the Second time

The Community College at the Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) has been awarded academic accreditation by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) in the United States of America (USA) for the second time for a period of six years as the first college in the university to obtain this accreditation in 1430 H, and the first community college at the level of the Kingdom to get this accreditation for its program.


Meanwhile, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas congratulated the college on this achievement and distinction and for maintaining the quality of its academic programs, highly-qualified staff and the uniqueness of its national cadres to become a constructive element in our country. He attributed the renewal of the college academic accreditation to the role undertaken by the university represented by the Vice-Presidency for Academic Development and Community Service and the Deanship of University Development and Quality and for the plans set by them in this regard. He added that maintaining such academic accreditation by the colleges of the university as general and the college of community in particular  reflects the keenness attached by the university to the quality of its educational outputs and for creating the proper educational environment for the students in light of the support and attention paid to the university by our wise leadership and the follow-up of the Ministry of Education to the Kingdom universities as general and Umm Al-Qura University in particular and the keenness of its keenness to create the proper educational environment for our male and female students.

    

In the same context, Vice-President for Academic Development and Community Service Dr. Hany bin Othman Ghazi said the Vice Presidency has set a plan  for all the colleges of the university to meet standards of academic accreditation and maintain such academic accreditation. He lauded the close follow up and attention of UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the UQU Vice Presidents  to see all the university colleges obtaining the academic accreditation similar to the international colleges. He also appreciated the efforts exerted by the task forces of the Vice-presidency for Academic Development and Community Service, the Deanship of University Development and Quality represented and the Community College for obtaining this academic accreditation for the second time.  
 

 

Within the same vein, the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Thabit said that his deanship follows up under the direct supervision of the Vice Presidency for Academic Accreditation, the process of the practical plans set by the Vice Presidency for the academic accreditation in the colleges and deanships through the consultancy team of the deanship to observe all remarks coming from the colleges in this regard, provide them with the necessary consultations  and help them to maintain the academic accreditation. He congratulated the Community College for getting the academic accreditation for the second time.

 

He lauded the continued  support  given by the UQU President, Dr. Assas and the UQU Vice-President for Academic Development. Dr. Hani Ghazi, to all the program and activities of the Deanship of Development and Quality.
