His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University Launches the Campaign: Our University is Clean

His Excellency, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, launched the Campaign "Our University is Clean" on Tuesday, 30th October 2018. This campaign will be carried out by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University headquarters in Al-Abdiyah throughout the academic year 1439–1440 A.H., in both the male and female sections. The event was attended by Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Surujy, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. `Amr bin Taha Al-Saqqaf, the Dean of Student Affairs, vice deans, Dr. Hashem Al-Samdani, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Fahad bin Mohamed Al-Dossari, the Dean of Information Technology, vice deans, and members of the students clubs.

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), praised the establishment of such community awareness campaigns. He added that these campaigns contribute to the promotion and consolidation of the religious values that our religion encourages us to practice in our daily lives. He promised that Umm Al-Qura University will have clean facilities and greenery. He also praised the Deanship of Student Affairs for the programs and cultural and social activities they offer to contribute to enhancing the talents of the university students and developing their skills within their assigned role.

On his part, Dr. `Amr bin Taha Al-Saqqaf, the Dean of Student Affairs, extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellence Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the UQU President, and Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Surujy, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, for their support of all the activities, initiatives, and programs of the Deanship. He explained that the aim of the campaign is to spread the culture of keeping the university clean throughout the academic year. In this sense, the members of students clubs will activate the campaign, with the participation of the college students, two days every week to raise the awareness of the university students and to remind them of their role in keeping the university facilities and classrooms clean. In this way, they will have a clean environment which will be pleasing for them during their school day. He also pointed out that the campaign comes within the programs of the Deanship for community initiatives, which are in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
