The Dean of University Studies for Girls Participates in the Campaign entitled: My University is Part of the Holy Land

On behalf of Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly, UQU Vice-President for Female Students Affairs, the Dean of the University Studies for Girls, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, attended the opening ceremony of the Campaign entitled "My University is Part of the Holy Land", under the slogan "All Regions of Makkah are Part of the Sacred Land". The campaign is in its seventh year. The event was arranged by the Deanship of Students Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership, in partnership with the “Hajir” program of the "Holy Country Glorification" project. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean of University Studies, Dr. Faridah bint Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, the Vice Dean of University Studies for Girls for Educational Affairs and Development, Dr. Kholoud bint Saad Al-Yousef, the Vice Dean of Students Affairs for Direction, Guidance and Community Partnership, Dr. Amal bint Omar Sandi, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Activities and Student Training, Dr. Kholoud bint Mohamed Aboulnaja, a number of deans of the participating colleges, and members of the teaching staff as well as female employees. The event took place at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday morning, 19 Safar, 1440 A.H. at Al-Jawarah Hall in the female campus.

The ceremony opened with a welcome speech for the attendees, followed by a chant titled "All Region of Makkah is Sacred Land" during which flash presentations were made about the status and virtue of Makkah, its limits, entrances, and scared places. From the land of Makkah, the Message of Prophet Muhammad spread to all the Muslim Ummah.

On behalf of the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuly, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, delivered a speech in which she expressed her pride and happiness that UQU is a piece of the sacred land of Makkah. This blessed campaign was launched to deepen the love for Makkah, and for the younger generation to learn about its virtues and status.

She extended her thanks and appreciation to His Excellence Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the UQU President, and the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuly, for their support and interest. She also praised the outstanding efforts of this blessed campaign.

On her part, the Vice Dean of Students Affairs for Direction, Guidance and Community Partnership, Dr. Amal bint Omar Sandi, stressed in her speech the noble objectives that "My University is Part of the Holy Land" campaign seeks to achieve in its seventh consecutive year. It seeks to raise generations conscious and fully aware of the status of Makkah.

In the speech of the General Supervisor of the “Hajir” program of the "Holy Country Glorification" project, Prof. Manal Al-Jabri, which was delivered on her behalf by Prof. Nour Al-Mun`ami, the Professor stressed the importance of joining efforts to promote the culture of excellence that the campaign seeks to achieve. In this way, UQU will become a starting point for meaningful activities that identify the merits and virtues of Makkah.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Hala Al-Amoudi, and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Activities and Student Training, Dr. Kholoud Aboulnaja, honored the voluntary teams that had participated in the campaign of "My University is Part of the Holy Land" in its sixth year. It had been launched under the slogan of “Makkah is a Covenant and a Refuge”.
