The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) invited the academics, researchers and those interested in the fields of Hajj and Umrah to participate with their researches and scientific papers in the 19th Scientific Forum for Hajj and Umrah Research and its accompanying exhibition to be organized under the patronage of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in Jumadah Al-Thani, 1440 H in Al-Madinah.
Meanwhile, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail lauded the support attached to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Heir Apparent HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in return for the scientific research and studies carried out by the Institute related to the Two Holy Mosques and their architecture and the development of the Hajj and Umrah system which will contribute to upgrading quality of services provided for the pilgrims, Umrah doers and visitors and enable them to perform their rituals easily and conveniently.
He also urged the scientific committee organizing the forum to submit quality studies and programs in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Plans 2020 in the fields of management, Hajj economics, environment, health, architecture, engineering, technologies and applications, awareness and media in addition to the initiatives and achievements and the participation of the community in serving pilgrims, Umrah doers and visitors. He then lauded the support provided by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmad bin Mouhammad Al-`Isa to all the programs and activities of the university.
For his part, the Dean of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Samy bin Yassin Barhamain explained that the 19th scientific meeting for Hajj and Umrah Researches, is an annual scientific event which gathers specialists, officials and workers in the field of Hajj and Umrah to provide the summary of the researches, studies and proposals they have, exchange point of views and benefit from the latest international technological and scientific developments, aiming at continuous development of the services provided for the pilgrims.
Within the same vein, the Vice-Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Studies, in Al-Madinah Dr. Ahmad bin Hatem bin Hassan Qadhi called upon the researchers, and those interested in the fields of Hajj and Umrah from both public and private sectors to participate with their scientific papers in the different themes of the forum for this year including; management, economy, social and humanitarian sciences, environment, health, architecture and engineering, awareness and media, technologies and applications, besides the initiatives and achievements, and the participation with the community in serving pilgrims, Umrah doers and visitors in addition to the future studies within the Kingdom Vision 2030 to develop the system of Hajj, Umrah and visit.
He explained that the deadline for receiving research summaries is Safar 30, 1440 H to be posted via the forum's e-portal (hajj.uqu.edu.sa/multaqa) provided that the research summary or work paper must not exceed 300 words and must have not previously been published or being considered for publication and that the papers must be written in Arabic and English.
