In honor of Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafil, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouly, UQU Vice President for Female Students’ Affairs, attended the campaign entitled, "Be Kind to Parents." It should be noted that the four-day campaign was launched by the Scientific Committee at the College of Da’wah (Islamic Call) and Fundamentals of Religion for UQU students. The event was held on Sunday, 5th Safar 1440H at Al-Jaffaly2 Hall, the Female Students Premises in Al-Zaher.
In this regard, Dr. Al-Khouly was warmly received by Dr. Soad Babaqy, Vice Dean of the College of Da’wah (Islamic Call) and Fundamentals of Religion for Educational Affairs and Development, in addition to a number of vice deans, staff members and affiliates in UQU.
It is worth mentioning that the campaign included awareness and guidance to provide care and concern for parents, reinforce the right religious concepts of righteousness towards parents, and guide and encourage children to be righteous and obedient to their parents.
In the same context, the campaign was enriched on its first day with an awareness lecture entitled, “Family Peace” by Prof. Ibtisam Al-Jabry. Prof. Al-Jabry explained the significance of the role of a stable and balanced family in the preservation of man and society.
