Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouli, University’s Vice President for Female Students Affairs, inaugurated the research training program for Islamic law female graduate students; it was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Islamic Studies Research Center. This was today, Wednesday, Muharram 23, 1440 AH in Abu Al-Ola Hall, at the female students’ premises, in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Halah bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, Dean of University Studies for Girls, as well as a number of female faculty members and graduate students. They were received by Prof. Afnan bint Muhammad Telmesani, Deputy Director of the Islamic Studies Research Center at the Deanship of Scientific Research, and Dr. Salma bint Dawood Badawood, Vice Dean of the College of Da’wa (Islamic Call) for Training and Community Service.
The program started with an opening ceremony welcoming the attendees followed by verses from the Holy Quran after which a speech was given by Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouli, Vice President of Female Students Affairs. In her speech, Dr. Al-Khouli pointed out that such programs are considered a fulfillment of the objectives and strategies adopted by the University in its journey of developing university education and scientific research in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030. Then, Dr. Haifaa bint Othman Feda, Deputy Director of the Arabic Language and Literature Research Center, gave a speech on behalf of Her Excellency Dr. Hanadi bint Muhammad Behairi, Vice Dean of Scientific Research for Development, Quality, and Academic Accreditation.
Moreover, the program and its goals and concept were presented to the attendees, along with the training courses that will be carried out in the future as an outcome of this program.
The program was concluded with honoring Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouli, Vice President for Female Students Affairs, who for her turn thanked His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, for supporting scientific research at the University. She also thanked all those working on this program, asking the Lord that it would bring benefit and achieve goals as intended. Dr. Halah bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, Dean of University Studies for Girls, was also honored. In the end, the cake, which was decorated with the colors of the program’s logo, was cut.
