UQU President Launches e-Portal Designed to Introduce and Update Graduate Studies Programs

The President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail has launched the e-Portal relevant to the scientific departments and colleges dedicated to introducing and updating graduate studies programs including; Higher Diploma, MSc and Ph.D. for the coming academic year 1440/1441 H  to keep them in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. 

 

This came during the meeting held at his office at the university campus in Abdyia in the presence of the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman Shoushou, UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Saeed bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Harthi, Dean of Information Technology Dr. Fahad bin Mohamed Al-Dossari, Vice Dean of IT for e-Transactions Dr. Atef bin Mansour Al-Hejaili and the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Thamir bin Salman Al-Omairi.  

 

During the meeting, the Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Saeed Al-Harthi reviewed the e-Portal and the steps that must be followed by the scientific departments and colleges to introduce and create graduate studies programs for the academic accreditation besides the user manual of the e-portal. He referred to the importance of improving and developing the graduate studies programs in line with the scientific developments in the different specializations offered by the university's scientific departments. He added that these programs must have their contribution in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030.

     

He called upon all the scientific colleges and departments who have graduate studies programs to work according to work schedule set in the e-portal of the Deanship of Graduate Studies. He praised the support of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail and his directives to update and create graduate studies programs to enable students to boost their scientific capabilities and increase their skills efficiency according to scientific standards which are based on the visions and aspirations, the deanship is very keen to achieve. 

 

For his part, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail praised such step, which will contribute to developing graduate studies programs in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. He then lauded the support attached by the wise leadership to the research and administrative environment in the university. He also lauded the support provided by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa to all the activities and programs of the university.
