The President of UQU, Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, will open on Monday the annual meeting of new students. The event is organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs this year 1439/1440AH under the slogan “Future Portal”. It is organized for nearly 10,000 students during the period from 23 to 25 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1438AH at King Saud Large hall at the campus in Al-Abideyah.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amr Bin Taha Al-Saqqaf, has praised the support of Dr. Baafil for the activities and programs of the Deanship of Student Affairs as the first portal to welcome the students after their admission to the university. The Deanship offers them with guidance programs and extracurricular activities in order to prepare the university environment which helps student make the most use of the University's educational and academic programs.
Dr. Al-Saqqaf stressed that this meeting benefits about 10,000 new students in the new academic year 1439/1440AH at the University’s main campus in Makkah and the branch in Jamoum. He pointed out that a similar reception will be organized for the students of the University’s branches in Al-Laith, Adhm, and Al-Qunfudhah.
For her part, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities and Training, Dr. Kholoud Bint Mohammed Abu Al-Naja who has supervised the seminar, said that the forum is held over the period of three consecutive days in which students will be welcomed during the day from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Afterwards, the students will be welcomed during the evening from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm. She stressed the need to register on the website of the “Future Portal” through the website of the Deanship of Student Affairs, adding that students must bring their national IDs in order to issue their university cards.
She explained that the forum contains many interactive programs that tell the life of students during the period of their university studies and the stages they go through as well as the extracurricular programs and student clubs that could develop their ideas, knowledge and skills, wishing them success.
