Deputy Minister of Hajj Launches Guest Platform

Deputy Minister of Hajj Dr. Abdul-Fattah Mashatt launched at the headquarters of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry the "Guest" Platform to serve movements of the pilgrims. The platform is reckoned the biggest unified e-platform at the global level to track Hajj vehicles. It is one of the projects of the General Syndicate of Cars (GSC) in collaboration with Wadi Makkah Company in Umm Al-Qura University. It depends on the smart applications to serve beneficiaries by such mean of scheduling and tracking movement of about 17 thousand vehicles during this year's Hajj season.  


Dr. Mashatt said that the partnership between the General Syndicate of Cars and Wadi Makkah Company is another field to achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030 by supporting the private sector and the medium and small enterprises confirming the readiness of his ministry to support these establishments.

 
In turn, the representative of Wadi Makkah Company ( the technical and strategic partner of  GSC, Dr. Abdullah Morad made an elaborate presentation about "Guest" Platform saying that it includes all data of about 17 thousand vehicles belonging to 28 transportation companies via GSC. All these data he added, is entered into a unified e-map to enable tracking the movement of vehicles inside Makkah, Holy Sites and the network of roads connecting them besides confirming the arrival of the vehicles to their locations smoothly. 

 

He went on to add that through the platform the vehicles are automatically monitored, their arrival time and movement routes are determined in such manner, which will ensure no vehicles congestion in specific locations and the proper distribution of all vehicles in Makkah and the holy sites. He added the platform would also prevent random stoppage and movement of vehicles besides scheduling all details of the vehicle movement and its departure time. "All these technologies were provided to facilitate movement of the pilgrims and ensure their safety, which is set within the top priorities of the platform", he expounded, adding that all vehicles were repaired and their efficiency was ensured to avoid any emergencies, Allah forbids.      

 
Wrapping up his speech, he said that the platform adopts the decentralization process to help the concerned bodies taking decisions and exchanging information from anywhere.
